Wedding catering on the Costa Blanca: which format to choose
Three formats, three very different atmospheres. How to choose the catering that best suits your wedding in Altea, Calpe or anywhere on the Costa Blanca.

Cocktail: a party atmosphere from the start
Guests stand, mingle and chat while hot and cold canapés are passed around. It works very well at estates and on terraces, and when the venue can't seat everyone. The key is getting the number of canapés right for the length of the event.
Seated menu: the classic format
Sharing starters or plated courses, with all guests seated. It is the most comfortable format for older guests and the one that best sets the pace of the day: speeches, first dance and cake arrive at the right moment.
Food stations and live cooking
Rice dishes cooked in front of the guests, ham carving, a cheese and cured fish table. Stations bring movement and become a memory in themselves. On the Costa Blanca, an arroz a banda cooked in a paella pan outdoors is always a talking point.
What about combining them?
This is the most common choice: a welcome cocktail with a station or two, followed by a shorter seated menu. That way you get the best of each format.
What to ask before booking
Whether staff, crockery, glassware and linen are included; whether there is a tasting; how each guest's allergies are handled; and whether they can cook at a venue without a kitchen. At Bloom we answer all of that in the first proposal.
